Hand crafted in Scotland about 1880, this Victorian period armoire is all original. The original hand rubbed finish on figured mahogany has wonderful warm patina with lots of antique character, mars, stains and shrinkage separations from age, see photo.
Waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain its luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
The shaped and beveled mirror, working lock and clothes hooks inside are all original. There are later closet poles inside as well that could be removed, shelves could also be installed if desired.
Three separate stacking pieces for easier moving, there is a loss to the door knob. Measurements are 54" wide at the crown, 48" wide in the body, 22" deep and 7' 1" tall.
