Victorian Secretary Desk, Bookcase Top, Glass Doors

This Victorian 1885 era secretary desk has a bookcase top with adjustable shelves. Solid walnut construction includes a drop-front with pullout wooden supports, inside are cubicles and a tiny drawer along with a few ink stains.
The graceful crest is hand-carved, and the warm old finish is almost too good to be original but probably is - we see no signs of refinishing. Size is 40" wide, 18" deep, 6'11" tall, and the writing surface is 28 1/2" above the floor.
