Pair of Oak Wernicke 1900 Antique Stacking Lawyer Bookcases

This pair of 1900 era stacking "lawyer's" or barrister bookcases are signed "Wernicke System Elastic Bookcase."
Lift and slide doors have original wavy glass on this famous maker antique library furniture. Each modular section is separate, bases and tops with sculpted moldings also stack securely together. The finish is in excellent condition on this American made pair.
Four upper sections accommodate books up to 9 1/2" wide and 10" tall, two lower sections up to 9 1/2" wide and 12" tall. Overall dimensions of each stack are 34" wide, 14" deep and 91" tall.
