Hand made of solid walnut during the Victorian period in the 1860's, this secretary desk has an upper bookcase with original wavy glass doors. Refurbished to served another generation, the satiny finish is excellent.
American made antique furniture, bookshelves adjust on wooden supports. Working locks have individual keys. The drop front rests on the drawers below, inside are tiny drawers and cubicles for documents. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints, square cut nail heads are visible. There are small shrinkage separations from age, see photos. "Racetrack" moldings and carved medallions are original as well.
Measurements are 44" wide at the crown, 39" wide in the body, 20" deep, 90" tall and the desktop is 29" high.
