A classic French armoire or wardrobe has a shaped and beveled mirror, hand carved of walnut about 1900. The original finish is very well preserved and has been waxed and buffed so all that is needed to maintain its warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
There are mars at the edges and shrinkage separations from age for a little antique character, see photos. Side panels are raised. The original mirror has a little "smoke" to show its age. Below adjustable shelves, an interior drawer has hand cut dovetail joints on this furniture from France.
Size is 42" wide, 21" deep, 8' 3" tall and interior depth is 14." This armoire has a very heavy door, so it must be anchored to the wall to prevent tipping when opened.
