A palatial hall console cabinet was expertly hand crafted in Italy about 50 years ago with a famous "Brescia" shaped marble top.
The curved sides and front have exquisite inlaid marquetry and banding in genuine rosewood, tulip wood, ebony and burl. The original finish is in fine condition with some crazing and touch ups from age, see photos.
Heavy cast brass mounts including cherubs have a rich patina. A porcelain hand painted pull and working lock are original.
The marble is polished and sealed, there are tiny natural "voids" in the marble that can only be seen in certain reflection, there is a professional repair, see photos.
Size is 40 1/2" wide, 16" deep and 38" tall.
