An Empire hall console, "petticoat" table or server dates from about 1840 when women checked their hems on the lower mirror in grand houses.
Matched flame grain mahogany is gorgeous, the restored finish is in excellent condition preserving a few mars and shrinkage separations from age. The backside has hand cut dovetail joinery.
The white marble has some stains, see photos and has been polished and sealed to resist future stains. The mirror has a little antique "smoke" for character on this American made furniture.
Size is 33" wide, 18" deep and 32 1/2" tall.
