A 1900 period statue depicts "Mignon," the heroine of a famous opera by Ambroise Thomas, who was kidnapped by Gypsies as a child and eventually reunited with her father.
This antique ceramic bust is inscribed on the back, "Copyright 1900 The Bailey Co.," with a logo "BC."
This peaceful sculpture depicts the beautiful Mignon deep in thought, holding a Gypsy tambourine. Original hand painting is in beautiful condition.
Size is 14" wide, 10" deep and 23" tall.
