A black and red marble mantel clock was crafted in France during the 1880's.
Professionally cleaned and oiled, the brass movement keeps accurate time for a week on a winding. A silvery toned bell counts the hour and the half. There is a seam or old repair across the top of the black barrel that is strong and stable, see photos. A beveled glass door is hinged over a porcelain dial. There is no signature that we can find on this antique timepiece.
Size is 12" wide, 5" deep and 9" tall.
