Signed by famous maker, "Globe Wernicke of Cincinnati," this five stack lawyer or barrister bookcase is all original from about 1900.
Quarter sawn oak has a very well preserved deep finish. Sliding doors have original wavy glass, knobs and coppery mounts. The base and top sections are also separate interlocking modules on this antique American made library or office furniture. Three small sections fit books up to 9 1/2" deep and 8 1/2" tall, two large sections fit books up to 12" tall.
Overall size is 34" wide, 12" deep and 74" tall.
