A French Art Deco mantel clock from about 1925 is genuine onyx and marble with a traditional Venetian gondola. Statues of the gondolier and a romantic couple evoke the charm of Venice.
The brass movement is signed by famous maker, "Japy Freres," and keeps accurate time. A silvery bell counts the hour and rings the half hour. A square door over the dial has beveled glass.
The statues and gondola are spelter, a white metal alloy with an original dark bronze finish.
Size is 20" long, 6" deep and 11" tall.
