Chinese Student Scholar Statue Pat. 1930 Vintage Lamp, Signed AMW

A charming little lamp has a gold plated sculpture of a seated Chinese scholar reading a book, and is engraved "AMW, Pat. 6-10-1930." Art Metal Works or Ronson was in Newark, New Jersey. There are chips to the glass shade and wear to the painted base, see photos.
American made vintage lighting, the socket has been rewired and there is a switch in the base of the statue.
Size is 4" x 6 1/2" and 12" tall.
