Victorian 1880 Silverplate Pickle Castor or Server, Enameled Glass Jar, Meriden

An elegant Victorian pickle "castor" or serving jar from the 1880's has a stained glass jar with hand painted enameling, signed "Meriden" of Connecticut.
The silver has some wear and is embossed with bird and butterfly motifs. The tongs has bird feet. There are chips to the ground rim of the antique blown glass jar that do not show with the lid in place, see photos.
Size is 4 1/2" across and 11" tall.
