A corner pair of stacking lawyer's bookcases bear some signatures from famous makers, "Macey" and "Globe Wernicke," dating from the very early 1900's. This pair was apparently adapted to fit a corner, and hook together.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on quarter sawn oak. This antique library or office furniture is American made.
Sections fit books up to 9 1/2" wide, the top two sections up to 9" tall, middle up to 10" tall and the bottom two sections up to 12" tall. Sections are numbered for best fit, and usually need to be leveled with shims to fit the corner of a room well.
Overall size of each bank is 45" wide, 12" deep and 72" tall, so the distance from the corner of the room to the tip of each side is 45."
