An authentic Georgian period dropleaf "Pembroke" breakfast, sofa or lamp table dates from about 1780. Hand crafted of solid mahogany in England, this elegant table was also used for afternoon tea, served on a large tray.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, flattering the figured top, which was cut from a single wide plank of mahogany. A drawer has solid oak dovetailed sides. Three of the four wheels appear original, one wheel was replaced decades ago on this antique furniture. There are shrinkage separations from age.
Dimensions when closed are 21 1/2" wide, 36" deep and 28" tall, with both leaves raised, width is 39" overall.
