A combination secretary desk and jewelry chest was hand crafted in France about 1910 and has a marble top. Inlaid marquetry includes a horn and music with banding of matched satinwood, rosewood and mahogany.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving just enough mars, tiny losses and shrinkage separations from age for a little antique character. The drop front has a leather panel and working lock, inside are tiny drawers and compartments. Other keys are handles only, those locks do not work.
"Brescia" marble has been polished and given a protective finish. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints on this elegant furniture, hardware and mounts are original.
Size is 19" wide, 14" deep, 38 1/2" tall and the desk is 30" high.
