A late Victorian or Eastlake period bookcase from about 1875 has delicate incised carving. Doors have a working lock and shelves adjust on wooden supports.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on solid birch hardwood, preserving just enough mars at the edges for a little antique character. There are shrinkage separations from age as shown.
Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and original pulls on this American made library furniture. The right door has a slight warp at the bottom, see photos. For easier moving, the base is removable.
Size is 58 1/2" wide at the crown, 22" deep and 86 1/2" tall.
