An authentic Flemish hall bench was hand hewn of solid wormy oak with a head and traditional carved details about 1760.
The restored finish is in very fine condition, preserving mars and wear for antique character. There are losses and restorations at the base from damp stone floors. Joints have carved wooden pegs, no lock survives on this historic furniture from the Flanders part of Belgium.
Size is 52" wide, 21" deep, 46 1/2" tall and the seat is 17" high.
