A Victorian period shelf or mantel clock from about 1880 is signed "ST" for famous Connecticut maker, "Seth Thomas." The original marbleized bakelite case is in very fine condition with original coppery finished mounts and lion heads and paw feet.
The brass movement runs for a week on a winding and keeps excellent time, counting the hour and the half on a gong. American made, this antique has a deeply embossed dial.
Measurements are 17" wide, 7" deep and 11 1/2" tall.
