An English Renaissance design sideboard, server or hunt board was carved of solid walnut by premier maker, "Kittinger of NY," in the 1920's. The best of the best, detailing and construction are superior in every way. Joints have carved wooden pegs, detailed carving is exquisite. This cabinet could also serve as a hall console.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. Brass hardware is original. This style of smaller sideboard was called a "hunt board," set with smoked meats and cheeses for a late supper after hunting.
