An American Empire period highboy, chest or dresser was hand carved of solid cherry about 1820. Spiral columns and undestated detailing is beautiful on this antique furniture from Pennsylvania.
The restored finish is in excellent condition with warm antique patine, preserving a few mars and stains for a little character. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and hand chamfered bottoms. Cast brass hardware is 150 years old but not original.
Size is 41" wide, 23" deep and 47" tall.
