A Victorian period bookcase from about 1875 is solid walnut with burl panels. Doors have original wavy glass, shelves adjust on wooden supports.
The old finish is very well preserved with a few mars at the edges for a little antique character. Waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Drawers have original ring pulls and round "pin and cove" dovetail joints of the era. The door lock and key still work on this American made library furniture.
Dimensions are 46" wide tip to tip, 16" deep and almost 95" tall to the top of the crown.
