An Empire period chest or dresser from the 1830's was hand crafted of shimmering solid curly or "tiger" grain maple and cherry. Shaped columns are well proportioned on this historic furniture from Ohio.
The restored finish is in excellent condition with glowing warm patina, preserving lots of stains, restorations and mars for antique character. Drawers have chamfered bottoms and hand cut dovetail joints. Only the center jewelry drawer has a working lock and key.
Measurements are 43" wide, 25" deep and 51 1/2" tall.
