A Victorian period wall clock from about 1875 has a walnut case and the brass movement is signed, "Welch of Connecticut."
The restored finish is in very fine condition, which has just enough mars, irregularities and repairs for a little antique character. Professionally cleaned and oiled, the movement keeps excellent time for a week on a winding, striking the hour. The brass bezel has convex glass, the dial is later. A lower window onto the brass pendulum has reverse painting.
Size is 17" wide, 25" tall and 4" deep.
