An assembled set of eight similar solid curly or tiger grain maple dining chairs have matching hand carved backs with Greek Revival acanthus motifs, dating from about 1825. Frames are slightly different on this wonderful American made East Coast antique furniture, see photos. One seat is rush, the others are caning of various ages.
The restored finish is in excellent condition with shimmering natural grain. Frames are sturdy, and have been reglued to serve another generation.
Measurements are 17" wide, 19" deep, 33" tall and seats are 18" high.
