America's premier piano, this signed Midcentury Modern period "Steinway & Sons, NY," Model M grand piano includes a matching bench. Hand crafted in 1956, the original satin hand rubbed finish on golden shimmering mahogany is in very fine condition with minor mars and touchups, see photos. The wing support has two positions.
The action is lively with the wonderful deep resonant tone that Steinway is famous for. Played very little, the piano has been professionally tuned and adjusted, and will probably need another tuning when delivered.
Original keys are natural material. Hammers, soundboard, etc. are all original and in very fine condition on this vintage instrument.
Measurements are 57" wide, 66" long and 39" tall when closed. The bench has been newly upholstered in a fabric design of the period, there is storage under the seat. Size is 34" x 15" and 18" tall.
