A large Empire period chest from about 1835 is solid cherry with mahogany and curly "tiger" grain maple banding. Columns and turned feet are dramatic on this antique furniture from Ohio.
The restored finish is in excellent condition with warm antique patina. There are small shrinkage separations from age plus minor mars and losses, see photos. Large drawers have hand cut dovetail joints.
Size is 42" wide, 25" deep and 52" tall.
