This 1900 Victorian period swivel desk armchair has a carved "press back" design and comfortable scrolled arms and shaped flat spindles. Carved of solid elm hardwood, tilt and height are adjustable.
The restored deep finish is in excellent condition with warm antique patina, preserving just enough mars and shrinkage separations for a little character. Strong and durable, the frame has been reglued to serve another generation.
The cast iron swivel mechanism is original on this American made library or office furniture. Ball bearing wheels are replacements.
Measurements are 22" wide, 25" deep, 42" tall and the seat is 18" high as shown, adjustable up and down.
