*SELLING BED ONLY
This Art Deco or Streamline Moderne bedroom set includes a queen size bed and tall chest of drawers from the 1930's. No signature survives, but we have seen these pieces attributed to the famed designer, "Donald Deskey," 1894-1989. He designed the interior of the Rockefeller Music Hall, the Tide bullseye and lots of sleek Midcentury Modern furniture.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on solid curly birch hardwood.
Brass and wood pulls are original. Chest size is 34" wide, 21" deep and 47" tall.
The bed has been expertly adapted to standard modern queen size. Wood cross supports as shown are included. The demonstrator queen size mattress and spring unit in photos is 18" thick together.
Measurements are 84" long, 64" wide, the headboard is 54" tall and the footboard is 22" high.
Nightstands and other related items in photos are sold separately.
