An Empire period chest or dresser from Ohio dates from about 1840, and was hand crafted of solid cherry with solid tiger maple drawer fronts, columns and knobs.
The restored glowing finish is in excellent condition, preserving a few mars and shrinkage separations for a little antique character. Every surface is hand planed on this American made antique furniture. Large drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms.
Size is 43" wide, 21" deep and 48" tall.
