Originally carved of mahogany about 1890 as a washstand, this marvelous piece could also function as a bar, server or vessel sink vanity. The original carved marble top includes a beveled mirror, the brass lock is signed "Pooley Furniture Co., Philadelphia."
The restored deep finish is in excellent condition, preserving a few mars at the edges for a little antique character, see photos. There are minor stains and chips at the edges of the snowy white marble, which has been polished and given a protective low luster finish.
The drawer has dovetail joints and original hardware. Fluted shaped columns are classical on this American made furniture.
Size is 43 1/2" wide, 24" deep and 58" tall, the top is 31" high.
