A set of 8 dining chairs were hand carved of solid walnut about 1890 in Italy, and have recent leather upholstery with brass studs.
The original finish is very well preserved, and has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Frames are strong, reglued to serve another generation. There are minor mars on the soft leather as shown.
Measurements are 19" wide, 21" deep, 44" tall and seats are 20" high.
