A late Victorian or Eastlake swivel and adjustable desk chair from about 1885 was carved of solid walnut. Recent tufted leather upholstery has brass nailhead trim and is in very fine condition with a little discoloration on the seat, see photos.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this antique American made library or office furniture. Reglued to serve another generation, the frame is strong and durable.
The cast iron mechanism has adjustable height and signed Milwaukee Chair Co. It has a some wobble as it gets higher.
Size is 22" wide, 20" deep and 39" tall with a 19" seat as shown, adjustable up.
