This Victorian period hall console from about 1860 has a flip and swivel top that opens to a square game table. Solid walnut, there is an "ogee" curved panel of matched flame grain mahogany on the front. Underneath the top is a "secret" compartment.
The restored satiny finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. There is a stable shrinkage separation on on leg plus various warps from age, see photos. "Spool" turned legs have original porcelain wheels.
Size in console position is 36" wide, 18" deep and 29" tall, in game table position, the top is 36" square.
