A tall case or grandfather clock from about 1910 was crafted in Germany with a mahogany case, and shows Arts and Crafts influence. The familiar "Westminster" chime melody plays each quarter hour and the "Kloster Glocken" or Cloister Bells count the hour. No maker's signature survives on this antique clock.
The brass movement has been professionally cleaned and oiled and keeps accurate time. Pulling the chains winds the clock for a week. Brass dial, weights and pendulum are original.
The original gleaming finish has been cleaned and waxed. Beveled glass panes and the convex dial glass are original, the lock and key work.
Size is 18 1/2" wide, 10" deep and 83 1/2" tall.
