A magnificent triple bookcase was hand carved of matched walnut burl with ebonized figural sculptures, lion paw feet and "cornucopia," or horn of plenty motifs. Expertly crafted in Hungary about 1900, three separate banks of shelves are adjustable.
The top has a restored finish for durability, the rest of the original finish is in remarkably fine condition on this antique European library furniture. Doors have classical grillwork, original wavy glass and working locks, outer doors swing on brass piano hinges.
Measurements are 76" wide, 18" deep and 65 1/2" tall.
