This fireplace screen from about 1860 was hand crafted in England of genuine rosewood with gold plated brass mounts. There is a framed panel in hand embroidered silk of a lady in her garden with an attendant holding her dress train.
The restored finish is in very good condition. The framed scene adjusts up and down on a brass pole, protecting a face from a hot fire.
Dimensions of the panel are 12" x 15," height is 55" and the base is 15" across.
