A charming open music cabinet has a top that flips up to make a music stand intended for a cellist, but could be used by any seated performer. Exquisite inlaid marquetry includes elm burl, mahogany, ebony and satinwood. Handcrafted in England about 1890, brass mounts and gallery are original.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this antique music room furniture. A drawer has solid mahogany sides with hand cut dovetail joints.
Dimensions when closed are 21" wide, 15" deep and 32" tall, with the top raised, height is 40" overall.
