A statue entitled "School Days" depicts an organ grinder and his monkey with two children who may be playing hooky. The signature is famous American sculptor, "John Rogers, New York, 1877." Crafted of stucco or "chalk" with metal reinforcement, these sculptures were the Norman Rockwell art of the Victorian period.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique work of art. We see a few minor chips and restorations, see photos.
Size is 14" wide, 9" deep and 21" tall.
