A grandfather or tall case clock from the George IV period about 1820 has a modern quartz battery movement. Hand crafted in England, the case is mahogany with inlaid satinwood and ebony marquetry and banding.
The original hand painted iron dial has a hand painted Biblical scene of Jesus at Jacob's Well with a Samaritan woman. Signed "Roger Goodwill," the calendar and second hands do not operate.
The case has a restored finish in excellent condition with warm antique patina.
Size is 23" wide, 11" deep and 91" tall.
