A Victorian period mantel clock from about 1890 is signed "Sessions of Connecticut." The ebonized wood case has coppery mounts, grained faux marble and fluted columns with Gothic arches.
The brass movement keeps accurate time for a week on a winding, a gong counts the hour and a bell sounds the half hour. American made, this antique clock has a signed and decorated dial with a convex glass door.
Size is 17 1/2" wide, 6" deep and 10 1/2" tall.
