Rosewood & Burl Antique English Jewel Box or Chest, 1903 Prize #35394

This charming Victorian period jewelry chest is rosewood and burl with a tray inside, relined in suede cloth. A silver presentation plaque with hallmarks from Birmingham,England is engraved "Second Prize, Feb. 21, 1903."

The restored finish is in excellent condition on this antique box, the lock and key still work. There is a shrinkage separation from age on the lid, see photos.

Size is 12" x 9" and 6" tall.
