An authentic Georgian period secretary desk has a secret drawer inside and is full of rustic character.

• American antique 1790s office or library furniture
• Solid chestnut & some burl with a quarter sawn oak interior
• Old varnish has been cleaned and preserved with a coat of clear finish
• Mars, warps, losses, various old repairs & shrinkage separations from age - see photos
• Brass hardware is antique but later
• Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints
• Key is a handle only on drop front
• Side drawers need to be pulled out to support writing surface

Size is 36.5" wide, 23.5" deep and 42" tall with surface 31" high.
