Dating from around 1800, this trunk or chest was a marriage or dowry chest or trunk, filled with a bride's silver and linens.

- Solid quarter sawn oak with inlaid banding
- Original patinated wrought iron hardware
- Old finish has been waxed and buffed, preserving mars & losses. All that is needed to maintain the soft luster is an occasional wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
