This walnut sideboard, server or credenza shows English Tudor design, and is accented with burl and marquetry in oak, satinwood and ebony. In traditional English country houses, this was known as a "hunt-board," a small sideboard to set up a cold supper of smoked meat, fish and cheeses for a late meal after hunting.
An authentic antique from the 1920's, the finish is superb with glowing warm patina with small mars as would be expected, see photo. The interior is finished, there are two removable dovetailed drawers or trays. Brasses are beautiful, and deep moldings are well proportioned on this expertly-crafted furniture.
Dimensions are 46" wide, 20" deep, 39" tall, and the top surface is 35" high.
