A magnificent corner bar cabinet or server was hand crafted in Austria about 1900 during the Art Nouveau period. Solid oak with curly Tamil ash panels, the finish appears original and is in extremely fine condition with warm antique patina. Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm luster.
The black marble top has been polished and sealed to resist stains. Engraved rosy brass hardware, beveled glass panes and beveled mirrors are also original. Mirrors have significant "smoke" to show their age, they could be resilvered or replaced if desired. This striking furniture is two separate pieces for easier moving.
This "Jugendstil" design shows influence from the "Vienna Secessionist" group and leads into Art Deco style.
Measurements of this bold and historic piece are 54" wide tip to tip, 105" tall, the base is 41" high and each side needs 39" of wall, measuring out from the corner of the room.
