Signed by premier American maker, "Baker," a classic breakfront bookcase, china or curio display cabinet from about 30 years ago is stunning.
Entirely original, richly figured mahogany has lower doors with inset oval panels of fruitwood, subtly banded in ebony. The original polished finish has very little wear, but there is slight sun fading toward the right side of the front, see photos. Original key and locks are operational in the doors. Under the crown is delicate arched molding.
Individual glass panes are slightly convex in four upper doors. Inside are adjustable glass shelves with carved grooves to display plates if desired. There is original fluorescent lighting hidden in the top. Mahogany shelves in the base are also adjustable.
Two separate pieces for easier moving, this brilliant vintage furniture is American made.
Measurements of this grandly scaled cabinet are 97" wide, 13" deep, 91" tall and the base is 32" high.
