This genuine Biedermeier or Empire Period corner cabinet was hand made of glowing fruitwood and burl about 1825. The gleaming finish is excellent with gorgeous and intricate natural graining. Note small shrinkage separations as would be expected in an antique of this age.
There are holes from square nails on the backside, and the original back appears to have been renailed when the interior was upholstered in silk moire fabric. All surfaces are hand-planed on this thoughtful antique furniture from a great historic period.
This 2 section cabinet should be anchored to the wall for security's sake, and size is 23" wide tip-to-tip, 6'1" tall and the measurement or radius from the inside corner to the tip of the side is 16" on the side.
