A charming group of domestic Chinese country porcelain was intended for home use about 1900. Sometimes called "farmer" china, each of these primitive oval footed porcelain dishes is hand made with traditional folk painting and rustic uneven glazing and texture. The polychrome painting is sweet and rustic, variations in the form and the glazing show hand work.
These pieces are not significantly chipped or cracked, but edges are rough. This set included 7 matching dishes plus one smaller and slightly different, see photos.
The seven large dishes are about 8" long, 4 1/2" wide and almost 2" tall., the smaller one is 6 1/2" long. This Qing dynasty porcelain is unsigned, presumably intended only for the domestic market in China.
We have no knowledge of lead content, etc., and are selling these dished for decorative purposes only.
These can be shipped USPS in the US for $15.00
