Hand crafted of pine in the late 1700's, this baby's rocking cradle is wonderfully worn, and said to be from New England.
Hand cut dovetail plus mortise and tenon joints and scalloped edges are the work of a skilled country carpenter. Rose cut nails from the 1700's and later square nails from the 1800's are picturesque on this rustic furniture.
The old finish is well preserved with lots of antique character, waxed and buffed, it needs only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth to maintain its warm luster.
Dimensions are 36" long, 31" wide and 33" tall.
